Rule of Life
This season, we're exploring the concept of spiritual formation and how it relates to our journey as followers of Christ. The key message revolves around the idea of becoming more like Jesus through intentional practices and reliance on the Holy Spirit. We delved into 2 Corinthians 3, where Paul uses the allegory of Moses' veil to illustrate how the gospel removes barriers between us and God. This powerful imagery reminds us that we are being transformed into Christ's image with 'ever-increasing glory.' To combat the challenges of our current cultural moment, we're introduced to the concept of a 'rule of life' - a set of practices designed to help us embody Jesus' teachings. This approach isn't just about knowledge, but about allowing these practices to reshape our very identity. As we navigate our own seasons of 'survival mode,' we're encouraged to lean into community, embrace new rhythms, and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us into greater spiritual maturity. The message challenges us to reconsider our priorities, letting go of what hinders us from fully pursuing Christ.
