The Danger of Church

Sep 8, 2024    Pastor Pradeepan Jeeva

In this powerful message, we're reminded that the church, like any family, is not without its challenges and drama. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 5, we see that even the early church faced significant issues. However, the key lesson is that we shouldn't let the ideal of a perfect church prevent us from engaging with a real one. Just as a barn with oxen isn't clean but is productive, our churches are meant to be hospitals for the broken, not museums for the perfect. We're encouraged to embrace the messy reality of community, knowing that our greatest blessings and deepest pains often come from the same source - people. This perspective shift allows us to see the beauty in the tapestry God is weaving, even when we only see the tangled threads from behind. By loving the church as Christ does, we participate in His ongoing work of redemption and transformation.
